We were lucky enough to get tickets for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 2021 and had a thoroughly fantastic time supporting Lewis Hamilton on the Friday and Saturday of the event. It was incredibly hot and the F1 cars gleamed in the hot summer sun. It was only just after the pandemic restrictions had ended so it was quite surreal to be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with so many people (it was a sell-out!). A tip for traveling to Silverstone, if it's hot there's very little shade, BUT plenty of water stations, if it's wet, there's not much shelter, and if it's windy you'll get blown away! It's really exposed and our girls navigated to one of a handful of trees next to Stowe to grab some shade, that is also one of the few places you can see the track without fencing in the way (at the top of the mound). We were lucky we experienced the first F1 sprint race on the Saturday evening, after watching the F1 qualifying on the Friday evening. Plenty of opportunity to capture pictures of all the F1 stars, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, Landon Norris, Danny Ricardo and Charles Leclerc.
